We recently attended Food Matters Live, which is a great food industry event with a lot going on. It’s a huge exhibition with brands from all areas of the food industry – from foods on sale in the supermarket, to foodservice products, through to science and innovation in manufacturing.
I’m excited to start telling you all about the Lady Luck, because it has rapidly become one of our favourite places to go. Despite the fact that it’s over an hour’s drive away from home, we’ve already been 3 times – and I even took my parents! Today’s post is a bit special for me, because I FINALLY get to review Arbuckles. This once-big chain is now relegated to a single restaurant in Norfolk, which happens to be right down the road from my parents’ house. And we’re back with another veggie feast – this time from our New Year celebrations! Just as with the Christmas food, we have a set schedule for our meals at this time of year. On New Year’s Eve we have a massive buffet with finger food to enjoy. Then on New Year’s Day we sit down to a two-course meal with starters and mains. Throw in copious amounts of champagne and other celebratory drinks and it’s a party!
This week I’m giving a bit of a different review than normal – it’s all about the Riverford vegetable box service, which brings farm-fresh food straight to your door. They also deliver fruit, eggs, and meat if you want it, though we stick with the veggies. We’ve been trying this delivery box for around a month, which we figured is enough time to give it a review!
This week I wanted to let you know about some of my favourite cooking tips. When I started this blog I could just about cook pasta and not much else, but as I have experimented and grown I have picked up a lot of little quirks that make things easier or tastier. Here are my top five killer veggie cooking tips for vegetarians that have helped me so far.
