We needed to stop off for food at Westfield recently, and though I almost always vote in favour of Wahaca, I’m also not averse to trying a new burger if there is one available. Enter Cabana, which boasts of serving Rio-style street food – including this halloumi burger.
Everybody loves pancakes, right? For some reason this week we just craved some savoury pancakes. It didn’t take long before a recipe came to mind, and these cheesy bean monsters were born.
They are an absolute joy to behold, and pretty easy to make, too. It would be pretty easy to make these vegan – just choose vegan cheese – or gluten free – with an alternative type of flour. They’re very versatile and honestly won’t take long to get the hang of. And no, you don’t have to flip them in the air if you’re not feeling brave enough!
I’m excited to start telling you all about the Lady Luck, because it has rapidly become one of our favourite places to go. Despite the fact that it’s over an hour’s drive away from home, we’ve already been 3 times – and I even took my parents! This is our absolute favourite bar right now, and with a fantastic veggie and vegan menu, there’s nothing not to like.
This one was a lot of fun to make – I love a festive carrot dish, and it was the first thing that we thought of after picking up this cranberry sauce at the Foodies Festival. As you know by now, I’m a soup lover – and in fact Black Friday brought us a new individual blender which we will be showing off next time we get the chance to make smoothies.
This week we’ve got one of our favourite things to share with you: a new veggie burger recipe! This one is adapted from a cookbook simply titled “Vegetarian” which I’ve had since my student days but never really delved too much into. Before you get too excited, I’ll be bringing you the recipe and review on Wednesday – for now we’re just going to take a look at the tasty, tasty Vine!
This week I wanted to talk to you about something a little different. It’s obvious that I can’t be eating veggie burgers all the time and nothing else. The problem is that I love a good burger and fries (especially sweet potato fries), and if I wasn’t eating a bit of variety now and then, I’m pretty sure I’d be the size of a house. That said, this post is not going to dispel that mental image, because I’m going to tell you about my latest obsession: bread bowls.
