We recently attended Food Matters Live, which is a great food industry event with a lot going on. It’s a huge exhibition with brands from all areas of the food industry – from foods on sale in the supermarket, to foodservice products, through to science and innovation in manufacturing.
We’re back with another new recipe! This week it’s our spinach and ricotta wraps, which we’ve spent a few weeks perfecting. It doesn’t hurt that the filling is so yummy, you might just want to eat it by itself.
This is of course based on the traditional spinach and ricotta cannelloni, though with our own take on things. I’ve personally never been a fan of the tomato sauce that is used as a based for the recipe. Instead, we’ve included our own nod to that by adding fresh cherry tomatoes to the filling, and letting the main sauce do all of the talking.
Alright, get ready for some serious paneer action! J and I LOVE paneer and can be relied upon to order a dish containing it whenever the opportunity arises. We decided we wanted to see if we can bring our favourite Indian takeaway meal home, and make it ourselves. I’ll be upfront and say that mine is not 100% as good as our local Indian does it – but then again, it’s probably substantially healthy, so it’s more or less a good compromise.
It’s that time of year again! After last year’s Christmas post, I couldn’t let the occasion go by without another round-up of our Very Vegetarian Christmas. We always eat such amazing food at this time of year – I’m in awe of my Mum’s menus – and this year was no exception. This time around I even helped out to make Christmas lunch, which means I can proudly say I helped make and then plated up the starter below…
