This one is a bit of a mouthful, but we’ll give it a go: we’ve tried the Cauldron Aduki Bean Melts, Made with Aduki Beans, Spinach, Mushroom and Aromatic Spices, Filled With Mango Chutney. I’d like to point out that I added my own punctuation there. Some brands just aren’t mindful of their grammar.
We normally stick to burgers for our reviews, but this week we picked up Higgidy cheddar and onion chutney veggie rolls and we couldn’t resist giving them a review. We wanted something that would be a bit of a filler for packed lunches and finger food buffets, and they fit the bill perfectly.
This week’s burger is a bit unusual – it comes from an Indian restaurant! As both I and J had our birthdays recently, my parents took us both out for a meal as a treat. We were up in the area anyway, so head for Rajasthan in Bexleyheath, which had a lot of great reviews and seemed like a good shout.
Recent weeks have seen two food festivals come to our local area – the Penshurst Fair, and the Tonbridge Castle Food Festival. We managed to grab the time to go to both, and we always love seeing local vendors and picking up some treats. Let’s start with Penshurst, as this was the first of the two events to take place!
We’re always on the hunt for a great toasted sandwich. There’s just something about combining gooey, melted cheese with seeded bread and getting all the right flavours together. So when we saw the idea for an Italian themed grilled cheese – combining three classic elements – we just couldn’t resist.
