We were at the fantastic Brighton Viva! Vegan Festival this weekend and had such an amazing time. It’s been more and more thrilling to attend these events – being around so much vegan food is really exciting, and offers us the chance to eat things we’ve never seen before.
After the fun we had at the London event, we’re pleased to announce that we’re giving away a pair of Brighton Viva! Vegan Festival tickets, for the event on the 7th and 8th October!
Brighton Viva! Vegan Festival is a huge vegan festival with 100 fantastic stalls for you to browse. There will be recipes to try, free samples, inspirational cookery demos and informative talks running throughout the day, so there’s no shortage of things to do.
Last weekend at the Vegan Summer Fest Brighton we managed to pick up a couple of delectable vegan burgers from Cafe SoVegan. Out of all of the burger stalls on offer they looked the most appealing, so we dove right in!
I couldn’t choose between the Mac Daddy and the Fully Loaded Herby, but helpfully they had a few samples on hand for us to try. Unhelpfully, they were both absolutely delicious, which did not help my dilemma. In the end, J went for the Mac Daddy and I had the Fully Loaded Herby, with a side of Mac No Cheese to make up for it. Here’s a few descriptions from the stand:
After our trip to the London event, of course we were so excited about Vegan Summer Fest Brighton! We couldn’t wait to get down, and were excited to be roaming about outside on a bright sunny day. There were two parts to the set-up: a giant marquee filled with all kinds of stands, and an outdoor area complete with a stage and lots of street food.
After the success of our Vegan Summer Fest London giveaway, we’ve got another one coming up for you! These tickets are for Vegan Summer Fest Brighton, which will be taking place on the 3rd & 4th June 2017.
Vegan Summer Fest Brighton is another instalment of this travelling vegan festival, which might be better for those of you living in the south! It’s a bit closer to home for us, so we’re very much looking forward to heading down for a great time and a waft of sea air.
Recently, we were in Brighton for the day and decided to top it off with a veggie burger. There are a lot of great veggie and vegan options in this city – we’re planning a round-up sooner or later – so narrowing it down was tough. We eventually settled on Smokey’s, which is a bit of a weird one. It’s downstairs – we actually walked past it at first because we didn’t expect to be looking downwards to find it – and despite the American BBQ theme, actually looks more like a traditional English pub inside, albeit with Spanish-language film posters. It’s a strange vibe but quite a nice one, and we settled in well after walking through the rain to get there.
